Ghana defender, Daniel Amoah has set sight on a call up to the U23 national team, The Black Meteors.
Amoah whom plies his trade with Tanzanian club Azam FC, has displayed a sterling performance since joining the Dar-es- Sallam based club in 2016.
His exploits for Medeama in the 2016/17 CAF Confederations Cup Group stage against Congolese giants ,TP Mazembe attracted Azam FC to secure his service.
He played a key role in Azam FC’s 2018/19 CAF Confederation Cup campaign despite their elimination by Zimbabwean club Triangle United FC.
The former Medeama stalwart has so far played 10 games, scored 4 goals with 2 assists for Azam FC in the ongoing Tanzanian Premier League.
The gritty defender is under the monitoring eyes of Black Stars coach, Kwesi Appiah for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
The 21-year-old was a mainstay in Coach Mas Ud Didi Dramani’s 2013 Africa Youth Championship Qualification squad against Ethiopia.
Amoah who could play in central defence or right back, will be an added advantage to the current Black Meteors team if called up by Coach Ibrahim Tanko.
The Meteors are preparing for the Africa U23 Championship to be played in Egypt between 8-22 November.
The top two countries will qualify for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics in Japan.
