Reigning Ghana Premier League champions Accra Hearts of Oak have reached an agreement with their arch-rivals Great Olympics over the acquisition of Gladson Awako in the ongoing transfer window.

The management of Hearts of Oak have already agreed terms with the former TP Mazambe offensive midfielder to secure his services until the summer of 2023.

The Great olympics captain Awako will be undergoing medical examination on Thursday to finalize his two-year move to Hearts of Oak.

He was influential for Great Olympics in the just ended campaign having relaunched his career in a grand style getting involved in 13 goals; scoring 6 and assisting 7 including four man of the match awards.

Awako returned to the Ghanaian top-flight league after having stints at TP Mazambe, Don Bosco all in Congo and American second-tier outfit Phoenix Rising FC.

Hearts of Oak are currently busy on the transfer market aiming to strengthen their squad for their 2021/22 CAF Champions League campaign.

Hearts of Oak have already signed former Asante Kotoko and Medeama SC forward Isaac Agyenim Boateng until 2026.

Also, West African Football Academy SC duo Enock Asubonteng and Konadu Yiadom have completed their medicals for Hearts of Oak switch.
