Asante Kotoko’s Burkinabe striker Songne Yacouba has reported for training with the Porcupine Warriors.
The striker had been absent for over three months but has now agreed to extend his contract with Kotoko.
Yacouba has been linked with several clubs on the continent but was not able to land any concrete deal.
Al Merrikh of Sudan and South Africa’s Orlando Pirates were reportedly after his signature but all those deals hit a snag at the eleventh hour.
Yacouba has returned to the club after apologizing for absenting himself.
He is unlikely to be available for selection as Kotoko prepare to play Kano Pillars in the return leg on Sunday at the Baba Yara Stadium.
